Latrice Laurent

Latrice Laurent (born 2001) is a working-class, church-rooted vocalist whose voice has always carried farther than the room she was in. From choir stands to school stages, she became known as the dependable one, the steady presence who showed up, held it down, and kept her dreams tucked away for “one day.” Music was never a question of talent. It was a question of timing.

That timing arrived at an open mic night that changed everything. In the crowd was Kunstruct (BBK), CEO of BLDG BLXZ Entertainment. One performance was all it took. He didn’t just hear her, he felt the spark. After her set, he approached her while she was still processing the moment, star-struck and stunned: “Wait… is that really you?” His response was simple and certain: “It’s me in the flesh. I heard what I heard. Check your phone.” The email was already there, a preliminary offer and a clear message: they needed to work.

Latrice said yes, and that yes became the doorway into her debut project, Love Crush, a five-song arc that moves like real life: from first spark, to crush, to clarity, to the question that changes everything. Her sound is grounded and current, built on honest storytelling and a voice that still carries the spirit of where she started, now with the confidence of an artist choosing her moment on purpose.
